About Us

American Thunder Inc (ATI) was established in September 2003 as a nonprofit 501(c)19 Combat Veteran’s organization. Though initially organized to provide handicapped accessible Hot-Rod and muscle cars to veterans who had been maimed in combat due to lack of support throughout the corporate community we were forced to change our mission to focus on the more pressing and overwhelming suicide rate of today’s veterans.

Our Mission

While changing the focus of our mission, ATI also reorganized as a 501c3 nonprofit to broaden our appeal to the civilian sector as well as to be recognized by Utah State’s Treasury Department as a legitimate nonprofit.

ATI and 22 A Day Racing are fast becoming crowd favorites and the under dogs in our series. Racing fans are highly patriotic, and our organization being comprised of combat vets as well as our mission to stamp out veteran suicide always draws a large following.

Difference

Making A

Wherever 22 A Day races, we always petition the track administration to allow us to be front and center during the National Anthem allowing us to highlight the high veteran suicide rate and creating yet another opportunity for our sponsors to be recognized.

During the 2020 racing season 22 A Day Racing finished fourth overall in our series as well as receiving recognition for Rookie of the Year and Best-looking Modified Racecar. We did all of this with hand-me downs and used equipment, just imagine what we could achieve with the proper backing.
